Yes, katrina's right Prostechea and Encyclias can take more water than cattleyas. Thanks for raising that point.

Mine doesn't take as much light as a normal Catt.

Same here Jenny...my enc/psh don't need as much light to bloom as most catts but they can take the extra light if they have it. Kevin- you are very welcome. I learned the watering needs of this group the hard way...and I must say...pleated leaves on an psh is not attractive.

Great to hear that this little fella doesn't need as much light as most catts. I always have trouble getting my catts to rebloom, though they put out lots of pseudobulbs. I understand that this is usually due to lack of light. So fingers crossed that my enc will do better! |
