Masdie in a fish bowl?

I purchased a masdie constricta x ignea in March, it had one beautiful bloom on it, which has since withered and dropped. It had two new spikes which I noticed after reading fred's thread on masdies (thanks fred) and immediately stopped misting, the first spike was about 1/4" and the second hadn't started yet. They both dried up, one at 2" long, the other at about an inch. I also had to cut a sheath on one of the new leaves that was growing, it was stuck like an accordian. I was thinking that I didn't have enough humidity (average around 30%, sometimes lower, sometimes higher). so I thought if I put it in a fish bowl, maybe this would help?
What do you think.
I have a fan going most of the day around all of the chids. There are four or five new growths, so I thought I must be watering okay.

That's interesting. I know that they like air flow as well as humidity, however. If you have a fan near it, it should do well.
