Question the flower stalk

On my Phal. Orchids my question is once the flowers are done is it appropiate to cut off the flower stalk or will it bloom again from that same stalk. I'd hate to make the mistake of cutting off a viable flower stalk!

Please assist....

what color is the flower? white don't cut. Other color you can cut all the way close the the stem. Some Phalaenopsis can rebloom from the same spike. But they
rebloom easily so i dont bother about it. If you want to play safe , you can also cut the spike after it turn slightly yellow.

You will get different input on this. Some will say to cut the spike to let the plant concentrate on new growth. Others leave the spike if it remains green. It could produce again. If yoiur spike is brown/dead, cut it off.

Hi.
I always cut off the old flower spike once flowers are finished.
Reason. If left on you may get a few more flowers later on.

Cut off spike; Once the spike is cut off the plant goes back into the flower production cycle again. Mine all seem to produce spikes in spring and again latish summer for Autumn / winter flowering.
That is if the plants is grown properly and healthy. As they should be.
Best of luck
Ron
