I think Restrpia muscifera is preggerz!!!!

I have no idea who the pollinator was or which plant the pollen came from. Does any body know how long till they are ripened? What should I do?! OMG i am freaking out! This is crazy I moved out and left the plants behind for two weeks and picked them up yesterday. The poor thing drove 50 miles in the car scrunched in a box with the other chids and I put together the new shelf and just plopped it on there. I bought a pressure sprayer pumpy thing and I had just finished watering and set the fan up and was gonna move it up to the next shelf and thats when I saw it! I screamed and I thought I was gonna die. The only person I could think to contact is Erich Micheals.

Please please please does anybody now anything about the pods on these things or anyone who would be a good person to contact about it?!?!

I am about to fall over and faint

I be back in a few minutes to post the picture have to put a little guy into his bed lol!

I have no idea what you should do and when but I'm excited for you. I know I'd be really really surprised too. That's one thing about growing orchids, you get a nice surprise here and there.
Can't wait to see what will come out of this.

Unless you plant to do something with the pod or are just curious to see how it develops, I might cut it off. Going to seed requires quite a lot of energy and it may set your plant back a little.

It's a pretty good sized chunk of Restrepia so it may do ok. Any suggestions on maybe whether or not I should feed or fertilize.

Kortney according to OrchidWiz, green pod harvest is 85-95 days.

Don't change the feeding and watering routine. It takes a lot of energy to produce a seed pod.

Oh Brooke thanks so much! Well since I'm not sure when it happened i'll have to be careful towards the end but now I know when to watch out for lol!

Benetay, I really can't take full credit, I'll give to the gnat or whatever it was that pollinated it lol!

that what i would do too, just water, fertilize no different. May be add a bit (very small quantity) of bone meal.
