It depends. For one, if you have significant root loss, then the entire plant will be affected. and two, if you have one yellowing leaf, but the roots have recovered, then the plant won't be further affected except for the yellow leaf. yes, it will be a long drawn out death for that leaf. probably will take one week or 2 weeks for that yellow leaf to compeletly die.

It's quite normal for the bottom leaf or two, to be shed during the growing season. If it's sending up spikes, and the other leaves are fine, I say no problem!
