Nancy, It's an Angraceum, probably a sesquipidale or hybrid including sesquipidale.

Nancy, Yes they can bloom every year. There are basically two 'types' of sesquipidales, one blooms around Christmas, and the other blooms around Easter. Yours may possibly be a hybrid, which could affect the bloom time. Your 'chid looks great though, keep doing what you are doing. ![]() I've seen some 'monsters' of sesquipidale, they can get very large, luckily they are relatively slow growers. Flower count should go up as well over the years, if it is happy. I'm actually quite jealous of you, my sesquipidale is still a baby, and I've got quite a few years before I can expect blooms.
