Oh My Gosh, It Bloomed!

My Cattleya sophronitis cernua has bloomed without me seeing the progress.

It has been on the east kitchen windowsill until a week ago when I put it under my LED lights. I also put moss around the base of the mount and put it in a cache pot to keep the humidity up.

So with my latest stint with kidney stones my orchids have not seen water in a week. This morning here it is 5 buds/blossoms

Whodathunkit, me, I actually got this little orchid to bloom. I bought it early this year, spring or early summer, so I am taking credit in the blooming.

I have to find the camera or fire up my ipad to get a picture downloaded. Hopefully this evening.

So, you who have this orchid, how long do the blooms last?
sunshine likes this.
