Maxillaria variabilis (orange form)

This is another from my Denis Roseigger collection. Got this in August 2015. Repotted this when I got it home. Used small bark/perlite and a little sphag on the top to hold moisture. Let it dry out just a little between waterings. Stayed in the greenhouse until October. Has been in the house and sitting under grow lights. So far so good

Are these new growths or spikes I am hoping spikes

Love maxillarias!

I'm going to stick my neck out here. I think the new growth that is hugging the pseudobulbs is new p-bulbs. But in your last picture, there is one growth that is kind of leaning over, and not next to a p-bulb; that one looks more like a spike to me. Good luck!
