Broken leaf

Hi Geeks, I love this time of year when the orchids that are not in bloom one can find in clearance. My friend bought what I think to be a phal she still has her blooms. She came to me for a broken leaf. Iím really not sure just what one does with a damaged leaf. Can anyone tell me? Please and thank you for giving up some of your knowledge and experience thanks......B
Ps my friend paid 2.99 I think is a steal

I would just leave it, if it starts to turn yellow as the circulation has been disconnected you could cut or pull it away safely. But for now just leave it, it won't heal but there isn't much you can do and it won't kill the plant.

You can sprinkle the leaf with cinnamon. It is a natural fungicide and it will protect your orchid from a potential threat.

If there are open fleshy areas, you can use pruning seal to avoid infection.
