Another Phal Problem

Here are some picture of a phal that I have had problems with. I have recently transfered my phals out of sphag moss becuase I have had root rot in too many. This one was in sphag and was spiking so I left it but then the spike just stopped growing. It was in spike from about March and just put off its first flower and seems to not want to put off any more. Now the two bottom leaves are yellowing and falling off. What to do. Also the top lead has that splotchy pock marked problem. Silly Phal.

What did you repot your phal in I hope it's not that spanish moss I see As for the yellow leaves. They are probably old and it's their time.

As for the 1st pic. It is some type of insect damage. Could be scale or something else.

Here is my suggestion. If you want to save this phal cut the spike. The energy will go to making new roots and new leaves. Make sure the pot you are using has good drainage if not the roots will rot. Here is a thread on to repot your phal. I have used this as a guideline for repotting all my chids. It's very easy to follow b/c there's lotsa pic.
