Help!!! I killed my Mini Cattleya

I recently re-potted my mini cattleya and think I've killed the poor little thing.
First, I accidentally broke off a new shoot when I was working the roots free from their tangle. I repotted the plant in a bark mix made for cattleya's and watered it good. Now, all of the leaves are falling off the 3 psuedo-bulbs that had previously bloomed and the bulbs are turning black. The leaves are green and firm and the bulbs do not seem to be soft. There is one tiny sprig of new growth remaining. Will it come back with new growth? I understand that the bulbs would not bloom again but did not realize they might just die.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I take you question to mean the old bulbs lost the leaves and the new bulbs are looking good.

If this is the case, the plant had a shock to its roots and is taking the safest path to recovery. It is much worst when new grownth dies.

Give the plant time. Reduce watering and no fertilizer until it starts to recover. As long as you see the new shoot growing you know the plant can recover. Do not be surprised if you see nothing happening for as long as 6-8 weeks. The plant can easily take that long to get reestablished.
