vendor/store recommendations for Nor Cal

hi

would any one know of any good vendors/orchid growers in Northern California? i live in Emeryville CA (near San Francisco) and so far i buy my orchids from Trader Joe's and an orchid guy at the local farmer's market.

are there any good places that i should go check out?
i am looking for oncindiums and masdevallias

in berkeley at the grocery outlet ( university exit) they get orchids every week. This week a whole bunch of dens. By wed./thurs. they usually sell the spent orchids at 1.99 and have more new additions. now remember this is the grocery outlet, so the plants are coming from a 2nd location from the original grower. I havent had any probs but just a starting cheap place.

i bought mine from the san francisco flower mart that is open to the public after 10am. i also saw on-line that there are a lot of orchid growers in gilroy.

i am going to check out the grocery outlet, hopefully they get good a variety stuff. but hey, cheap healthy plants is something to be glad about


SF flower mart? is that the one near the SF police department (it is on Bryan or Brannan & 5th?) i think i know what you are talking about .....

yeah, it's on brannan btwn 5th & 6th st. look on-line for the sf flower mart for times & directions.
