| Hard to say without seeing a photo, but I'd say you have a few weeks yet? It should be about the same amount of time to bloom as your original spike had when it's buds were at the same stage of development. It certainly trys your patience doesn't it? But oh, nearly always worth the wait! :-) |

| many factors will open or delay the opening of an Orchid. I once had a Cattleya in sheath with a formed bud take a year to open, but usually one to two weeks from the description you give should do it for you.
