I'm Thrilled! Just look what I found today!

My supermarket got orchids in today and I had first choice. I was amazed at the size of the Phals! I selected a white one with lavender and yellow.
It is 26 inches tall, has a 16 inch leaf span and the flower is 4 inches across.
It has 2 spikes and one spike has 2 branches on it. It is full of buds and has very healthy looking roots. The other plant that I chose is an Intergeneric. The plant looks a lot like my Oncidium. I have had good luck with my supermarket Phals in the past. I am sending pictures, perhaps someone can tell me more about my Intergeneric.

Now I'm really confused. It says that my pictures are 161.5 KB bytes which exceeds forum limit of 107.4 KB. I have no idea how to fix that!

You will need to use a photo editor to reduce the size and then they will go through. It looks like if you just reduce it by about 25% you will have it made! Look for the place in your software where it says "RESIZE". :-)

The Phal could be one of several possibilities including not a clone at all. But these days the probabilities are high that it is a clone. Cynthia, Prescott, AZ

Thank you Cynthia. I looked at the site and it is like my intergeneric. Mine is a deeper red (like wine) but everything else is the same. I, as well as all of the other newbies, are so grateful that you take the time help us.

Mtdm intergenerics are genrerally smaller with smaller flowers than other oncidium crosses. Mtdm. Bartley Schwarz is a smaller plant and smaller flowers than the Colm wildcats that can have similar flowers.

Your photo appears to be a plant only about 12 inches high so that increases the possibility of being Mtdm. Bartley Schwarz

Colors can vary a lot. Most are bright red with the white lip but here is one I posted on our gallery where the red migrated into the white lip and white tips developed on the red. About 9 of 10 plants have been pure red and white.

Hi Jerry....I just measured it and from bottom of pot to tip of bloom it is
18 inches. The bloom is 2 1/2 inches.

High light to low light can vary the intensity of colors. Please measure from the top of the pot, as we have no idea how tall a pot the plant is in. Cynthia

My grandson was in today and was checking out my new orchids. He asked if the Miltonidium was a dancing lady. When I told him it was a cross between an Oncidium (dancing lady orchid) and a Miltonia (pansy orchid) he said "well I guess you have a 'dancing pansy'.

Funny!...enjoy your dancing pansy...The Phal is nice too. Seems to be a sister of mine which is also quite big but has no pink shade(the new leaf is 10" long and a fully opened flower was 4,5").
