Is this right?

Is this the right way to cut a stem back? Should it be cut closer to the node? Does it need to have an angle like I cut it? Any advice or suggestions would be great! And do I need to do anything to it once it's cut? Thanks!

Hi martine, Yup you did it right, good job! keep an eye on it. It may start forming another flower spike or keiki. If it turns brown cut it down.
