| it does look like a Vanda and when grown in pots seem to have trouble getting enough water. If you want to leave it in the pot I would soak it at least once a week for about 4-5 hours. Commercial growers often water 3-5 times a day on automatic systems and seem to have better looking leaves. I have several of these types in pots and shriveling looking leaves are always happening. The plant lives well and flowers again. Fortunately the flowers are why we are growing it. Give it enough water and high light levels. It needs almost full sun all day to flower.

| Everything looks fine with my Vanda now, thanks!! Yes, now i´m positively sure is a Vanda Miss Joaquim, thank you so much for the ID. I made some research and found out lots of info about care. I live in Panama (Central America) at the moment. So the whole country is a humidity tray!! As you all may well imagine, this is paradise for most orchids. I´m shy about knowing so little and haven´t yet started contact with local clubs, but i will come to that soon. I already put my "Missy" out in the open near other plants, It gets full bright light but not direct sun just yet, dont want to stress it. And for the humidity of the medium,I´m keeping it happy. thanks so much again best regards manuel |

| Hi Keysqueeze. I see this is your first post. I hope I am not discouraging you. If you look at the picture of the plant, it is typical terete vanda, now papilionanthe. It would be a strange LC to have a plant growth like that. Cynthia |
