| Hi! It's been in the pot it is in for about a month. I've also had it that long. There's been no change in it's environment since I recieved it, although it came from Hawaii to Wisconsin upon recieving it. It sits in my West window with the rest of my Catts which are doing great. The pseudobulbs are looking well. I water it by soaking it for 10 mins every 6 days. I also alternate fertilizing every-other-week, and I have Worm Tea on it's way to me. Thanks so much! |

| Ok, I would do a little check on the roots. I would use a skewer to check for when to water. Check out this thread. Soaking to water is a good method, just make sure that it needs the water. Skewer use for watering of orchids Now for lighting. I see you said you live in Wisconsin and have the plants in a West facing window. This will allow the plant to live and maybe even grow, but a Cattleya will probably never flower under these low light conditions. You may find that you will need supplemental lighting. It will also help in the future if you could change your location in your preferences. This way if you have questions in the future, members will be able to know what kind of growing conditions you have. |
