Requirements for Importing orchids into Australia

Does anybody out there know the requirements for importing flasks into Australia?

Flasks can be imported into the United States from any country without dipping or health certificates required for orchids since they grown in a sterile flask. I would assume it is the same for all countries.

CITES is an international treaty and Australia is a member so you have to comply with their requirements. Mostly this is paperwork and paying a $25 fee. If you are buying the flasks from a dealer that ships internationally, he will already have the permits.

You are going to have to contact the Australian departments for the exact requirements and paper work.

Importing orchids internationally is a big problem but importing flasks is not.
