Should I repot?

I have been a bit lazy and waited too long to repot my phalaenopsis. Today I have noticed a flower stem growing. Can I repot now or is it better to wait after flowering. Can repotting unstabilize my orchid so the flower stem stops to grow?

You can repot a Phal. at any time, they're not as tempermental as others. The only thing I noticed and I'm not so sure it was because of a repot was that that new leaf growth seemed to stall but I'm now inclined to believe that isn't so. I did a repot of all my Phals a couple of weeks ago and they're all doing fine, new leaves haven't slowed down this time. I also noticed a spike on one of mine and it's grown since the repot, no stalling whatsoever. It's always a good idea, no matter what the growth cycle (with Phals) to check things out whenever you notice unfavorable changes or it's needs for other adjustments. You don't have to wait.

I repotted my phal while it was in mid-bloom (the roots were dying off because of a bad potting situation. After the repotting, it has given me another set of blooms with a third on the way.
