i love this site you guys are so helpfull to each other and there is so much knowladge here i find this site more informative and helpfull than the books i have bought. i am twenty five and i am very "stupid" in regards to orchids i have bought my first four mautre plants and i love them. but i would like to know about agar gell i am so fasinated by the way they grow them is it possible for me to polinate my flowers and germinate their seeds in this way, or am i looking at an impossible task i have bought phals... and i live in south africa if this is possible do i need this gel or is there another way of doing this i have fallen inlove with these flowers and i am completely gob smacked by everything that needs to be done for them they are almost more demanding than my daughter

you definitely can do that. But why wait for seed pod to give you flower, in 2 years time where
you can go to the nearest shop and choose the colour and type you like. Presto you got
yourself a new orchids.

Tina,
Try contacting one of the societies listed on the South African Orchid Council website. They should be able to help you with local orchid and flasking resources.

nah, a boy friend cook for you, clean after you. pamper you, shower you with gift....
it is much better than orchid.
I pay for everything.
I pay for the electricity,
i pay for the media,
I pay for fertilizer,
I pay myself to water the plant
I pay myself to apply insecticide when there is bugs
Plus i pay myself to do weeding....
boyfriend... definitely much better. Unless He/She ask you to pay for everthing. Which
you can dump them for good.
