Orchid Newbie

hello everyone,

I'm not truly an orchid newbie, they've been dying under my care for years. I am so happy to have stumbled on this site - I hope to be able to learn enough to keep my newest orchids alive and happy. I have a few older ones that are most likely orchid-corpses but before I release them to orchid-heaven, I hope to find some way to resuscitate. I have not given up hope.

Keep watching here and perhaps you'll learn. This is the place to be if you have trouble. What is happening to your plants?

Hi Toobizee,Welcome!!This is a terrific place to learn, to brag about your orchid successes and to find people who have "been there" when things don't go so great. We've all had our share of mishaps. (It's part of the learning process, but we need to know where in this world you live and what kinds of orchids you grow before we can give you the answers you need to make your plants happy and healthy...) Then any questions you have, ask away!! Glad you came to this forum...hope you love it as much as we all do

BTW, we looooooove pictures

Hello and welcome to the forum! You have come to the right place for information. There are some very knowledgeable people here that can help you rescue any that need a little help.

What kind of orchids do you have right now? Do you have any pictures of the ones that need help? This will help for others to give advice.

It will also help if you go to your profile and fill in your location. We are from all over the world with very different growing conditions. Knowing where you live will help when we give advice on culture.

Hi.... I just came onboard today myself, but I've been growing orchids for 15 years. I know your pain, although I never had an orchid die on me I sure had a lot commit suicide.

Hi, I am a newbie too and if I could get all the money back for all the orchids and plants that I've killed, I'd be a rich lady. That's why I need this site. There is plenty of info. here. I'm still trying to absorb all this. Welcome.
