| Maxillaria tenuifolia spike?
I have had this for a few months now and I noticed this growing off of it. Is this the beginning of a spike?

A flower spike will have a rounder tip. You definitely want more growths. The more you have, the more blooms. The coconut fragrance will be more evident and just make you drool.  Mine just finished flowering. I think I had about 16 flowers. Whenever, my 6-yr daughter and I walked into my orchid room, we just say "aahhh...love the coconut smell". Then we'd crave for something coconut-y. LOL
