Also thought I'd post pictures of my Vuyl

Here's a picture of my Vuyl Cambria Orchid that I've been thrilled with and also my Airedales, well, because they're my babies too.

Kath-

Hope I'm not posting to the wrong section.

I have no objection of some bragging in the forum. Our photo gallery does not lend itself to comments and threads on photos, so have fun.

I like the airdales - I do not own any dogs myself

ooh nice. speaking of vuyls:

forget the whole name right off , but there's a Shady Lady and Brianne in there. and a bunch of award letters. this is from last year but it's blooming again now. i usually kill oncs, but these vuyls seem to be pretty tough.

Janet,
Those are beautiful. You seem to have more flowers per inch than my Cambria. My purchase was truly a fluke and I'm glad I did it. I had no idea what I was buying and just liked the plant itself and was pleasantly surprised when the flowers bloomed.

One thing I'm not fond of is (and probably an indication that I'm doing something wrong) is the flowers don't seem to last very long. Altho, the new leaf growths seem to be flourishing. I rec'd this on May 4 and the first flowers to bloom within that week are already wilting. One reason I really like orchids is because of how long their striking flowers last.

Only time will tell. I'm seeking a Manhattan Red one, but so far all the ones I can find are out of my price range.

hmm. my vuyl blooms for *months.* i just noticed this morning the first wilting petal. you've had the plant three weeks? maybe it's just taking a while to acclimate. next year's flowers might be much better.
