Picture of Paph Wardii and friends

Here's a picture of Wardii, Freddy (the two bud paph) and if you look close in the allpaphs_outside.jpg, you'll see Tallulah in the back.

-psssttt...don't tell Wardii, but I don't think he's a Chocolate Wardii - I can hardly find any chocolate in him. If you're interested in Wardii's daily progress up until he bloomed go to this post - Wardii the (Paph) bud

-Freddy's big bud is starting to open - it's been touch and go, he really stalled for a good week there, but as of today, he's expanded a bit more. I'm really wondering if the other bud will ever be able to open, since he doesn't seem to have grown at all. I suspect that Freddy big bud is taking up all the energy.

-Tallulah continues to keep her bud pretty tight, although I can tell she's gotten slightly bigger since I got her on April 26. I think she's waiting for perfect conditions to show herself. We've went through a cold spell here in Gatlinburg during the last week, hardly making it over 60. So I've keep them all inside until today.

must be nice to be able to keep them outside--around here, the squirrels have to take a bite out of everything i put out on the deck.

Oh, I didn't mean to come across bragging - to me it's show n' tell of my very first Paphs (in the excitment and sense of a 5yo.) Believe me there's nothing to brag about - I bought the least expensive in bud ones I could find. I'm just a beginner.

Janet, the Airedales hang out on the deck and they probably keep the squirrels at bay. Actually, my girl - Moxie, caught a squirrel once, terrible story, but hey, it's her heritage. I ended up driving the squirrel to the only emergency Vet clinic that was open on the weekend (altho, I couldn't help noticing all the "road kill" squirrels on my way there.)

Thanks for checking out 'me' pics.
