Ken,

Yes, it can be grown outside. If I recall correctly, my aunt has one and she grows it outside.

waling waling is what Euanthe sanderiana (and its alba variety) is typically called here in the Philippines.

Grow just like any other Vanda.

It would depend on your location whether it could be grown outside or not.

Ken I don't know the answer to your question but think the "outside" part of it has been misinterpreted - Am I correct in thinking you were asking whether the plant could be grown anywhere other than in the fillipines. (not could it be grown in an outdoor situation)?

I know I am further North than you, but can I ask whether you do actually stand any of your orchid plants outside during the summer months??

Ken,

Don't panic. Compare the growing conditions your friend has with the cultural requirements of Euanthe. If they're a match, she'll be able to grow them.

Let us know if you have questions.

Oops...I forgot to mention it depends on his growing conditions. I was in a hurry to click on the Submit button.

Thanks for mentioning, Kevin.
