| I really like using cork bark because it has so many little nooks and crannies for roots to settle. Orchids take to it very quickly and it's cheap and light weight to boot.

| msh1 just use what is most available in your location. I order a lot online but stick close to home because of shipping costs. In addition to whatever you decide to mount on, I just put a little spraghum moss between the bark and roots, a little more on top of the roots, and wrap fishing line around the whole thing. Staple guns work great for securing the line to the bark. Send us a picture when you are done so we can Ohh and Ahh.
