| Sedirea japonica Can anyone tell me what their spikes look like at the early stages? Mines a small plant, but theres a green bump coming out and it has a slight node like top to it. I find it hard to believe its flowering as its grown no leaves since i bought it. |

| The appearance of roots and spikes on a Sederia is not unlike that of a Phal only in miniature. Inflorescences come form the crotch of a leaf while a root will come from beside or under a leaf.

| Thanks kmarch, I think it is a spike. Its still abit early, but it looks similiar to a phal spike, and its growing upwards, and has a slight node like bump, compared to roots which have a continous round shape. My mini terriarium may be working |

| Yeah, it sounds like you probably have a spike going. Good for you! You'll like the Sederia blooms. They're fragrant.
