| I have read that some people use neem oil on their seedlings right out of flask. Neem has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial functions, but is not systemic, so you would need to use it before problems start. I don't know if they were refering to pure neems mixed with water and maybe detergent, or the stuff from the usual nursery, that may already have some kind of surfactant. I have been told recently by a hydroponic salesman that dish detergent is hard on the leaves. But since he was selling a very expensive substitute, don't know how much validity to give this. | Thank you for the info aboout neem oil, Cynthia. I'll try a diluted solution on my next flask. It should be here some time this week. Although, after last night, I'm not so sure I have a strong enough heart for this flasking business! |

| I have to mention since this is a Newie section that paphs can take nine years to flower from seed. (flaskes are usually 1 1/2 - 2 years old.) Everyone out there be aware of what you are getting into.
