Arrow Recommend your favorite orchid book here

I thought it would be a good idea to have a single thread about our favorite orchid books. We get a lot of requests and this would be helpful for newbies and advanced alike.
Please add your favorite book below. Include information such as title, author, where you purchased it, how much it cost, and why you like it. I love books and always like to share them, so I'll
start with the books that helped me the most as a beginner.

'All about Orchids' by Ortho. I bought this online through Amazon.com for $11 US. It is a great first book if you could only have one. It has lots of basic information and I still find myself reaching for this one from time to time. It packs a lot of information into few words.

'Orchids For Dummies' by Steven A. Frowine. I also bought this online through Amazon.com, price $14 US. I like it for the same reasons listed for 'All About Orchids', listed above.

I'll have to second that opinion. The Ortho book is my favorite . But then, it's also the only book on orchids that I have read in the past four or five years I had a talk with a co-worker today and her main point was that orchids are too hard to grow. Not with this book--it talks in plain, simple language. It doesn't sound like a text book, but it's full of useful information!!

I like the Ortho book, but I like Cullina's better. -- Bill
