Brittany is on a distinguished road
I think I am an orchid grower now

Well I have found a new spike on one of my Paph , that I purchased bloomed out. AND have found my first cases of spider mites on 2 of my plants. Wait a minute, I have mealie bugs.

SOOOOO does this make me an orchid grower.

Well, I'd say you're well on your way! When you get a chance post a pic of your bloom.

Try a few treatments of Safer's Insecticidal Soap for the mites.

Kmarch, are you sure you are spelling your name right ? or are you changing it on this old man.

Fred , I am reading the book The Fatal Shore by Robert Hughes and I know what going bush means.

I assure you I have always spelled my name correctly (though will not make the same claim for any other name or word) and I'm not accustomed to pulling switcheroos on my respected elders (although anyone else is fair game).

Brittany if you have a GOOD thing (spike) and a BAD thing (bugs) at the same time, you can officially state with confidence: "I am an Orchid Grower!"
