a little advise please

hi i have a few orchids now ,a phallenopsis that i got to reflower although the first 4 flowers dried up i think it might have been a bit dry at the roots (am i right) it has 4 purple flowers now looking good .my dendrobium emma yellow has finished flowering it has 2 canes and a new cane is now growing the flower spike grew from the centre of the cane is it a noble or what how can i encourage it to reflower all my orchids are in a west facing window on a tray of damp pebbles with some crushed bark on top i notice that a lot of members are from sunnier climes here in uk its cold and raining what is the minimum temp for orchids indoors hope u can help

For the Phal, 60F (16C) would be best, but 55F (13C) might be tolerated if the Phal is a standard type.

If the flowers on the Den came on a longish spray from the top of the cane, it is not a nobile type, but a Phal type. If it were a nobile type, flowers along the side of the cane, you would probably want to put it out side for winter under the eves to keep the rain off of it. As a Phal type, just keep it indoors with the highest light you can. Since it is growing, water it well, don't let it dry out completely. When either of these types are not in growth or bloom, then you would want to let them dry out very well between waterings.

thanks for advise
my other orchids are vanda grown in a glass, miltassia royal robe and a cambria noid all these orchids are growing very well hopefully they will reflower for me next year
