| You need a pot just large enough to hold the roots and allow for about a years growth. Sounds like you can use a good orchid book to start out. I've included a link of recommended books from the forum members. The Ortho books are excellent for beginners and can easily be found at Home Depot and most garden centers. http://www.orchidgeeks.com/forum/gen...recommend+book Last edited by Sharyn; 09-03-2007 at 12:09 PM. | You want a pot that will just hold the orchid and a little space (1/2 usually). It you trim off bad roots and reposition the Orchid, you usually can put it back in the same size pot.
