Sharyn, I got my order in yesterday, this is a sweet deal. I know the shelf life of the tea is about a year. I was so conservative when I first started using it, trying to catch every drop to re-use but I'm seeing that it's lasting forever even with a less conservative approach when watering. So if a little lands elsewhere than back to the recycling bucket, no biggie anymore.

Hi guys,
I just called Carl at Vital Earth and arranged to go pick up some worm tea on Friday. Alittle apprehensive though, but if everyone here has had good results with it and their plants, why not. He said that I should use it once a month and that's enough. We'll see

elitebettas: I use the tea once or twice a month for watering and mist about once a week. In between, I use plain water or some with regular orchid fertlizer. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results. I've been using the tea since early spring and it's really great stuff - no bugs, nice growth.

Hello guys,
I visited the folks at Our Vital Earth today since it's only about a 40 minute drive away from my home and wanted to get the 2 for 1 special they are running until the 31st of the month. They are very nice people and the worm farm is quite interesting. Anyway, before they took the bottles off the shelf I saw them twisting the caps closed. I asked why. The worm tea when being stored, needs have the cap UNCLOSED, to allow the microbes which are aerobic to "breathe". Also, they are very photosensitive and watering or spraying needs to be done in the evening since the sun will destroy the microbes. I tried to tell them the rationale of not watering in the evening to no avail, lol. Just thought I would pass this information on. If you have any questions please call 1-800-237-4780 to speak to anyone at OVE

I ask them about the two for one deal after I placed the order. They called and said there was no deal at this time? I was kind of shocked but didn't say much. Did receive 8oz. bottle look forward to trying it out.

I now realize why vital earth thought I was crazy! The dates on the post are one year to the day, almost apart. I probably should pay more attention!!! Worm Tea is new to me also but alot of people swear by it. It's like a wonder tonic for plants. If you check back I'll let you know how it worked for me.

I was confused when I started reading this post as well since I was at OVE Monday picking up 55 gallons of Worn Tea and we discussed last years special.

For those wanting instructions on Worm Tea
OrchidsAmore

I have been using it every 14 days for the last year and for the last three months mixed with Essentials and Companion. Here are the results in photos
OrchidsAmore

I will add a few more photos in the coming weeks since the growth on the Den Cathy Beck just not want to stop. 20 of 50 went into bud this month and the peak blooming season is October-Feb.

I will see about getting the forum a 2 for 1 special.

Hope you can come through Jerry! I have been waiting for about six months for one! I got two gallons last year and sold half to a friend here locally. Big Mistake. I should hae purchased FOUR gallons and THEN sold half to my friend!

What kind of difference are you seeing in two days? What did the blooms do after the spray - bigger? better color?

Orchids tend to be very slow in responding to any change, good or bad so I'm quite curious what they did and how you applied the worm tea.

The diffirence I saw was a overall better look. The blooms were somewhat droopy as were the leaves. I saw rapid improvement. Plain water may have given similar results but I am sure this stuff is much better. Most natural products are better for me and my set-up. It was sprayed on and used in water also. The directions were followed at 50:1 mix. Will keep a watch and let you know the longer term results.Must say natural products do tend for me to work a little slower. I was surprised myself!! Wonder about a special really would like to get more.

Brooke I had a Phal that was kinda "droopy". When I misted the plant the first time I tried this stuff it was within 24 hrs. the plant was like "standing at attention." After a month I noticed that the roots were fatter and I really didn't have to water as near has much.

i've been using it to keep the aphids at bay on my hibiscuses and purple passion plant; also the powdery mildew on the african violets. these plants are in the house some or all of the time, so i'd rather not use neem oil. with religious use it works pretty well.
