Any IDea Please??

Please can I ask for your help yet again.

This is one of the rescue orchids I bought at the end of March, and it has come a long way since then.

It was merely labelled Dendrobium, and I wasn't so sure this was right. Now after visiting Anton's site via his link in another thread I am even less sure and wondered whether anyone could confirm the type.

Plus, as you can see it has the beginnings of a spike and I think there is probably one also growing round the other side of the plant.

As you can also see the leaves seem to start out concertina fashion and then straighten as they grow. Is this normal or does it need more water/light????? It is on a very light windowsill and I drench it once a week then drain it well. As I said the plant is 100% better than when I bought it, but I wonder whether I'm treating as something it isn't.

Thanks,

Chris

It looks to me like you might have a Miltonia or possibly an Oncidium ingergeneric.

What do you think Cynthia?

Looks very Miltoniaish to me. Don't let this guy dry out completely. That is probably the reason for the wrinkled leaf. Labels fall out and then the store clerk puts it back in. Ha! Need better store clerks.

Miltonia do not like heat. Keep it under 75 and give it good air circulation and it will do well for you.
