Dendrobium help

I've had an dendrobium Iki for about a year now, and it still hasn't bloomed! What could be the cause?

the major cause of orchids not flowering is lack of sunlight.

Yours however is a primary hybrid of two laturia dendrobiums (cruentum x bellatulum). these can be a lot of trouble. I have a spectabile for 4 years without flowers - professional growers advice was no water in winter - lots of water in winter - easy on fertilizer - heavy on fertilizer - bright sun - shade -- you get my point.

Since they were trying to sell me hundreds of these I assure you they were telling me what they believed. truth is they bloom when they like their conditions whatever that may be.

I know one hobbyist that waited 9 years for his spctabile to bloom - patience and next time ask before you buy so that if you do not want a difficult to grow plant you can buy accordingly

Sorry for the REALLY late reply. I had forgotten that I had posted this. :P Well, still no blooms. It could be because I didn't allow it to have a good rest period (meaning, I didn' cut back on the watering).
I'll keep trying, and maybe I'll get another dendrobium that wont be as challenging lol.
