I received my orchid for mothers day and it has now lost all of its flowers is this normal? It is a Phalaenopsis.

Hello and welcome to the forum. There are lots of friendly folks here and lots of practical advice too.

No flower lasts forever (unless it's plastic) so, just like any flowering plant (roses, tulips, impatients, etc.) your orchid flowers will fade and drop. It's perfectly normal and to be expected. But with good care your Phal will rebloom again for you next year. Go to the American Orchid Society website and download a Phal culture sheet (www.aos.org) and give it a good read.
