Anthony, you may get more responses if you started a new thread. Go to the top of this page and under the Orchid Geeks Banner you'll see several topics underlined. Choose one. When that comes up, look on the left side of the page for a "New Topic" icon. Click it on and then post your message.

Vanda's are a tough start. They require extremely high sunlight and constant water. Commercial nurseries water a much as three times a day.

They want almost full summer sun all day year round. And if you give them that light they dry fast, needing lots of water.

If you can not give it watering from an automatic system, then try to water every day and soak it in a bucket of water once a week for 1-2 hours. This gives the plant a chance to catch up.

Try to learn more about the needs of each type of orchid before your next purchase. There are many types of orchids that will do ell in lower indoor light.

Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) and Paphiopedilum (Lady slipper) are two. Some of the semi miniature Cattleya do well in brighter areas of a house, and Dendrobium and Oncidium can be adapted to indoors.

Vanda's are the toughest.

Is this potted in bark in a pot, bark in a basket, or just an open basket, or other arrangement? Don't mist the plant late in the day, as the leaves must be dry when the temp starts to fall, and that should take care of any further black spots.
