| My "arsenal" consists only of: 1) ground cinnamon (an anti-fungal) 2) Insecticidal soap (In the US, Safer's soap is good - u can use it in yoru home) 3) bleach (for sterilizing) And that's about it. I do have a stronger insecticide called Scale Gun but I only use it outside.

They take on the form of little birds, of lizards, of insects, a man, a woman, sometimes like a clown who excites our laughter. They represent the image of a lazy tortoise, a melancholy toad, an agile, ever-chattering monkey. Nature has formed orchid flowers in such a way that, unless they make us laugh, they surely excite our greatest admiration." Jacob Breynius |

| Thanks Fred, I have been away and didn't see your post till this evening. I have learned a few new things, guess the old dog can learn a little hee-hee. That was very sweet. I also forgot that I cannot get anything to grow without a pinch of dog hair or cat hair.

| I like Kevin's list! Nice and minimal for us folks that aren't "in the money." Or who would rather spend the money on more plants! I don't remember seeing in the cinnamon thread- can it be used for root rot, or is it just better for crown rot and helping cuts (on plants) to heal? I did remember seeing that cinnamon will dry the roots out, so I'm not sure if a "cinnamon solution" would work..... Thanks, everyone! |
