tips on quarantining new plants

Hi I was wondering if people would be kind enough to share their tricks to ensure the health of new plants before introducing the newcomers ....

If new plants seem weak, I soak them in water with a touch of honey, rinse, and dry before I repot. Honey has a natural anticeptic quality to it and any absorbed sugar will give them a boost. I quarantine them for two weeks.

Well since that's my best tip Y'all know why I am askin'!

Hi Chance, prior to putting a new plant with the rest of the collection one of the senior members has a system by which he swears. So search in the forum for Daniel Barrett's revival technique. If you can't find it reply to that effect and I will post a copy. Bill
