new plants

Howdy all

So I got 3 tiny plants of the following:

Alcra. Pacific Nova 'Butter Buds'
Mtdm. Goliath's Spire 'Mauna Loa'
Mtssa Dark Star 'Orchidworks'

Any suggestions about light and moisture levels? They are now in fine bark.

yes i think that would be a good idea if we could see some pics

that is a good way for the new members and the novice members to understand what the shortened names stand for.

plus it is always nice to see new arrivals

lol the plants look almost exactly the same, from (left to right)

Aliceara. Pacific Nova 'Butter Buds'
(Brassidium Shooting Star x Miltonia clowesii) . yellow spider- like flower

Miltonidium Goliath's Spire 'Mauna Loa'
(Oncidium Wilwood x Miltonia spectabilis)- white and purple/maroon flower

Miltassia Dark Star 'Orchidworks' - couldn't attach another pic for the flower. but it's like a purple spider-like flower.

I notice some *pleating* in the leaves, I assume it's lack of humidity? Should they go in sphag? the roots are so thin. I only have grown cattleyas and phals and vandas, all thick roots. So this is a first for me.

The pleating leaves are mostly from growing too crowded on a nursery bench. It should not happen again for you.

All Oncidium alliance orchids need good air circulation to prevent pleating and especially for good growth. It is probably the most important condition.

I get pleating in my Stanhopea, Lycaste, and Gongora leaves if I let them dry out while they're growing. I've had it happen with a Miltonia as well. I suppose this is a possibility too.

I'm definitely leaning towards moving these seedlings to 100% sphag. The heat of the summer is coming and probably the fine bark will dry too quickly.
