reading suggestions

Hi again, I would like to buy a really good reference book to help me as a beginner. I already have the Ortho. What is your favorite and why? Someone had suggested the Botanica. Thanks Laura

I have a book which my father sent me that I read through almost every other day. In addition, I have printed cultyre sheets and threads from this forum for additional information.

Small World Tom. Perhaps my mother (it was her book before she passed) picked it up while in England. My entire family is from England... I was the first one born in the US.

Agreed - the photos are wonderful and I always run to it when I get a 'first' for my collection.

The Ortho books are great. I also have "Growing Orchids" by Brian and Wilma
Rittershausen. It's got everything from culture & cultivation, growing outside
and under glass to mounting, pest and diseases, growing media and a great
directory of popular orchids.
