Lost my tag.

I lost the tag to this orchid and all I can remember is that it was a series of three letters with a c and an l in them. I am getting nowhere with identifying it from books. Please help so I can give it proper care.

The 3 letters were probably either Slc. (Sophrolaeliacattleya) or Blc. (Brassolaeliacattleya). As most mini-catts are Slc. I'm inclined to lean that way especially since I know of a mini-catt (Slc. Mine Gold) that looks really alot like your flower. Does that name sound familiar? It's really difficult to idenify untagged hybrids.

At the very least it's certainly a Cattleya-alliance hybrid, a mini-catt, which will help with figuring out its culture.

SLC sounds right. I bought it at an orchid show and the tag never made it into the box. By the time I discovered that it was missing I had forgotten what it was. Thanks!

Afraid not. I think he was an amateur grower and I bought it as an afterthought. It looked lonely. My prize was Odbrs. Fangtastic Bob Henley.
