| My o my! You have your work cut out for you and it will take LOTS of patience - I cannot stress that enough. I have seen Dends like those around here occasionally too - usually they are still trying to sell them for a few bucks. I'd say try sphag and bag and see if any new growth pops out - you could even cut them and ly them vertically in sphag and see if you get any new growth. The poor little shriveled pseudobulb with the new growth could be a oncidium of some kind or an intergeneric plant? With lots of TLC my guess is that it will take a couple years to get this plant into the realm of looking like it might have looked when originally put out for sale. I've salvaged some phals that were not far from what your plants look like - about two years of struggling to survive - one of them still looks like a little seedling (but now healthy!). Good luck! mike |

| All I've got is patience and time.....so I'm ready to work on these....... I'm going to try the sphag and bag method. I just looked it upI'll have to get the root hormones and moss to do this though. https://www.firstrays.com/sphagnbag.htm It says....soak the plant 2 hours. They do just mean the roots right? LOL |

| All I can say is......MASICHIST ! I have 6 rescued cyms from friends, and they are a hand full, luckily they are showing signs of gratitude I am glad to say. When I got them, I sat down with them and read them the "RIOT ACT"....GROW OR ELSE! Obviously it has worked.

| Even for free you may have paid too much. Good luck. The Den is probably gone. The plant is pot bound and yet there is no new growth. This to me indicates totally dead. Hopefully I am wrong. The Oncidium although alive is a problem. I have never saved one from this point. The large pseudo bulb will begin to rot soon and the rot will spread to the new new growth. I have gotten them up to three inch's and then had them rot almost overnight. I would not recommend removing the new growth because there will not be enough roots to sustain it. Like I said I have never found a technique that works. Again Good Luck. If your time is not important then go for it.
