| Hi Folks, I got this fantastically beautiful orchid as a gift. Unfortuantely, I knew nothing about orchids and did not know the pot did not have a drainage hole. So, I believe I overwatered it, because the beautiful flowers are drooping. Is there anything I can do to save this plant? Thanks for any help you can offer, I'm devastated! Carms |

| Welcome to the forum!. Unfortunately your post remained unnoticed. My answer is that yes, hopefully you can do something .First I have a question: how long do you have that plant? If for weeks, the flowers could reach the end of their life span and now are dying. But, it's probable that at least a part of the root system is gone. Pull out the plant carefully, check the roots, cut off what is bad (black, soft, mushy, hollow inside) using a sterile tool, and re pot. Good roots are firm, have green/white color. If all the roots are dead than the problem is bigger. Here is a link - step by step instructions on repotting phals. http://www.midpacificorchids.citymax...age/235341.htm
