Plant with issues... Help please...

Hi! So my boyfriend brought me this plant yesterday and it looks like it has issues... The flowers have holes in them, the leaves are variations of yellow brown and green... The roots are sickly...

Is it sick, or just malnurished... I have 2 others, one that I have had for years, and manage to keep them alive with minimal effort... Where I am its hard to get fertilizers or good media... Occasionally I use some homemade fertilizer for the others, just when they are looking down...

Should I cut the yellow or brown leaves? Or just let them die off? Should I give it more shade? More water? Im going to add some organic stuff today and see if it helps...

Im trying to upload pics, but it doesnt seem to be ipad friendly...

Hello Yvette, and welcome! As Rebelcowgirl said, just make some comments on different threads, or one-word entries on this one, and you will soon be able to insert pics in your posts. It's hard to answer a question without seeing what the plant looks like and what kind it is. But there are many helpful people here who will be glad to offer advice!
