Cattleya bud emerging

I didn't know what to expect with my first rebloom on cattleyas. I didn't even know what the bud looked like! Thought you'd like to see what it looks like. When you get to the link, scroll down to the catt buds.

well i looked at the link and saw the nice pics and I thought to myself hmm I think I have some flower spikes like that.

so I went out into my orchid house and has a look and I found a few to share with you.

buttOn: Take a look at Fabolusus pics showing new growth from the catt. which may produce a new flower. I also have some growths from the middle of my catt. which look entirely different - thin and more blade like. Almost looks like criss-crossed leaves. Can't get enough into focus right now but will post a pic as soon as I'm able.

Like you, I like to see the process from the beginning stages to the final stage of a flower.
