Hi, I left my plant in water ( did not drain off excess water), with the result the stem is turning brown, and all the blooms are falling off. Is the plant dead? I have looked at the roots when I realized what I have done, but they are all green. |

Leaving your phal in water for awhile didn't hurt it. Overwatering is the number of times the plant is watered in a given period, not the duration it is in water. I often soak a phal for 24 hours - completely submerged. They seem to appreciate it. Maybe the bloom was past its life cycle. If your roots are good, your plant probably is.
