| Vanda newbie :) just ordered myself a "Vanda Pimchai Beauty x Katsuulea". its not going to come with flowers, cheaper to buy without i have a good basic guide from www.easyorchids.co.uk which is where im getting the orchid from. i've bought from them in the past, and would recommend them to other UK orchid growers but back to my main point maybe we could make this the vanda new thread? |

| Hi tom, I don't know your growing situation but I have a friend who grows Vandas really well by hanging them in his greenhouse (no pots, no pottng mix, roots hanging in the air) and "watering" them a couple times a day with a fogger. The fogging mist is amed at the hanging roots. The roots are big and healthy and the plants vigorous. What kind of situation would you br growing it in? Cheers |

| mine is in a hanging basket also, so i shall water it in the same way then but how would i feed it? dip the roots in water with dilute feed for a few minutes? |

| In addition to the heavy watering realise that Vanda need about 8000 foot candles of light in order to be able to flower. That is about full summer sun in England.
