advice please x

Hi im a new member and i loved my purple and white Phal.Noid orchid and have had it for around a year and followed instructions carefully. it had plenty of lovely big flowers and in the last 2 weeks they have all fell off and the stems are now brown and dry although the leaves are still healthy looking, does this mean the plant is dead or could i revive it?! thankyou for taking time to read x

No flower lasts forever. They all eventually die off, even orchid flowers. With good culture your phal very well may flower again next year. Read the phalaenopsis culture notes on this forum in the Orchid Care section or at AOS | Members Only Area. A culture sheet will tell you what conditions your phal needs. After you've read it, let us know if you have wuestions.

Hello and welcome to the forum
The flower spike is also dying back if its turning brown. You can cut these off just above the leaf its growing out near with sterile cutting tool (if scissors you can heat them with a small torch, if sont have one I have used a stove burners flame in a pinch) I let them cool a tad before I cut then sprinkle or pinch and press to the cut on the spike to seal the cut with some cinnamon powder.
If ever you get a type of Phal that the flower spike stays green after the flowers fall leave it. On those they can re bloom again or send a keiki (baby plant).
Again, welcome to the forum
