Needing some suggestions...

I got this little vanda off of ebay about 8 months ago, (I can't really read the tag on it, I know shame on me..) but when I got it (it is blooming size) it had mostly dead roots, but a few very good fat strong roots. I contacted the seller about it, but I decided to keep it. I trimmed all the dead roots away and put it in a basket to hang. And was watering it, feeding it, and it was growing strong healthy leaves but I had not seen any new root growth of any kind, my other vanda's are starting to grow their roots out, but this one is still being stubborn! Here in the past few days I have noticed the leaves are closing up, having a slight 'shriveled' look, and yellowing off Nothing has changed with its normal routine, and our weather hasn't been too off.. the only thing I could think of was that I haven't been using my humidifier the past two weeks because I think thats why I have been congested... (I have it going full blast tonight) but all my other guys are doing GREAT... I seem to have the best luck and ease of growing the vanda types, except now all of a sudden this one is making me scratch my head One leaf has already yellowed and fell off... its now working on another one... any ideas on what to do? Should I be giving it a root hormone like I've heard you guys talking about to try to encourage it to work on roots??

Lightbulb

I know you specialize in Vanda's but my questions are
1) How much light is it getting currently this time of year?
2) Do you think the vendor keeps records to get its name so a more detailed culture for thid one can be found, I'm no expert but I think some love tons of bright light and others dappled and has to do with type of leaves.
3) How much closer are your other babies to light source. It this one not getting enough air flow or a draft at night etc.
Just trouble shoot here like I said I'm no pro but when one of my other types of orchids acts up and it isn't a root issue (the one you show look fat and healthy) I start with other environmental issues. To where its placed in my home etc.
Good luck vanda
Maybe frostychick can help here she seems very knowledgeable in various environments.

try worm tea or mycoforce or anything that contain Bacillus polymyxa
that will promote root growth.

To me it looks dehydrated. How are you watering it and how much light is it getting? This time of year a south window would be needed and growing inside, multiple daily waterings.

unforuntely the only window in our apartment is west facing... and this time of year the orchids gets maybe about 20 minutes of light and gradually getting more each week as the sun moves. It dips down below the apartments across from us so I haven't been getting much light. Yes the vanda's I have loves lots of light, this one was out in quite of bit of sun during the summer but only grew leaves... I haven't seen any root growth on it. I was thinking it could be dehydrated so I have been giving it more water. As for whom I bought it from, unless someone knows how to, I can't find the records in my purchase history from ebay. It was just odd it has made it through this winter so far now, and the last two months they have only been getting just minutes of sun a day, and since we are getting more daylight now, I would think it would be better.. Thank you for suggestions, I may try digitalgate's advice.
Thanks
